The Greensboro (A&T) 4

I'm a graduate of North Carolina A&T, home of the Greatest Homecoming on Earth!

In light of Black History Month, a lot of people don't know much about these gentlemen as their story isn't as widely shared in black history education. They are Ezell Blair Jr., David Richmond, Franklin McCain, and Joseph McNeil. Otherwise known as the Greensboro 4. February 1st, 1960, these 4 A&T students staged the 1st lunch counter sit-in at a Woolworth diner in downtown Greensboro. The diner served whites only and the sit-in prompted a lot of press and media, leading to followup lunch counter sit-ins all over the country.

I feel very connected to this piece of history and I'm extremely proud of myself for pursuing my art! I'm doing what I want! Creating! I'm having so much fun! I hope it can be seen that I'm having fun! How fulfilling this art life is becoming!
