Phood Phoenix

Detroit has been a city rising up from it's own downfall and the degradation of its reputation! Going through a city-wide bankruptcy and being known as one of the most dangerous cities in the US, Detroit rises from it's ashes like a Phoenix. Even in the destruction or decomposition of something, can come something good. Much like with food waste. Using the remains of scrap foods to advance technology is a lot like the Detroit Phoenix metaphor. Still rising to contribute to society and to the future! Detroit, once again, is on the rise in art, technology, social programs, etc.
